About AfyaNeuro

The story

AfyaNeuro is built by a medical intern at a referral hospital in East Africa with one clear goal: to become one of the world's leading neurosurgeons — starting from a background where access to neurosurgical training and resources isn't easy to come by.

This site exists to make neurosurgery and neuroanatomy easier to understand — for medical students preparing for exams, junior doctors on rotation, and anyone curious about how the brain and nervous system actually work in real clinical practice.

Every article here is written along the way: from ward rounds, textbook study sessions, and case discussions — turned into something clear enough to actually help someone else.
